The Switch actually relies on friend codes. People just don't notice because there's so little use for adding someone as a friend on the thing, that it's pointless either way.

now, I use more the steam friend code than the Nintendo friend code. And the internet does not go down because of Steam friendcode. The same thing happens with Ps5 drift, silence everywhere
