The empathetic person in me doesn't wish for any game writer to get insulted, no matter how ridiculous their thoughts may or may not be. It's a hard thing, writing and publishing content for others to read and criticize. Making it all the harder is attaching your own opinions to said writing as you are exposing yourself for the sake of generating discussion. Without opinions an article is boring to most, so we risk it all by putting our opinions in. At the risk of self-deprecation, I'd like to share an article I wrote in which I had some/many opinions that were not shared by this community:

I don't share this to invite criticism, by the way. Just to serve a reminder that we all have opinions that most people would disagree with and sometimes those manifest in writings for all to see.

I don't insult him (or at least, that's absolutely not what I am intending to do - if it's the case, I am deeply sorry, I didn't mean to do so).

As stated in the beginning, I am an admirer of this kind of (somehow) bold takes. And of course Switch's 3rd party support isn't stellar.

But don't twist facts, omits elements and compare two very different things to make false assumptions and conclusions based on easily verifiable stuff, especially topics which are discussed everyday here.

I mean, who would've dare to state that the next-gen appetite is greater than for the Switch and use launch-aligned sales comparisons ? Is he even trying to imply that the Series X will sell more than the Switch just to make it fit its narrative ?
