It's a hard thing, writing and publishing content for others to read and criticize. Making it all the harder is attaching your own opinions to said writing as you are exposing yourself for the sake of generating discussion. Without opinions an article is boring to most, so we risk it all by putting our opinions in. At the risk of self-deprecation, I'd like to share an article I wrote in which I had some/many opinions that were not shared by this community: |
I think the problem is not so much his opinion, so much as blatant misinformation to twist things to fit his narrative. For example, comparing MH Rise sales so far to MH World lifetime is such an obvious stretch to downplay a 3rd party exclusive for Nintendo. Had he done time from release aligned, a much different picture would have been painted. It would have been much more accurate, but no longer fit his narrative.
As for what you say, you are correct. Being a writer can be hard and tiresome. I used to do it myself for LensOfTruth back in the day, so I can relate to not wanting to be hard on someone's opinion. But I believe the bigger issue here is misinformation, which is hardly the same thing as hating his opinion.
