Why PSP was popular:
In the west, because it is a multimedia device.
In Japan, because it has Monster Hunter.
Hardware sale: great
Software sale: terrible, it has only 3 games sold more than 5 millions.

DId psp give Nintendo a kick too?
| Soundwave said: The funny thing is the Steam Deck probably will be able to play most Nintendo games. This is the GPD Win 3 emulating the Switch and the Steam Deck is considerably more powerful than the GPD Win 3 so this will run even better than what's shown in this video: Then you factor in it will be able to run NES to Wii U titles and Game Boy to 3DS titles, this thing will play more Nintendo games than the Switch, lol. Obviously the selection of retro Nintendo games on the Switch is pretty badly lacking with many systems missing. |
Yup, psp software sales failed hard due to it, yet DS software sales were great, and DS was hacked way earlier and easier, wonder why?

He only plays physical games, Switch has a lot, Steam Deck has none. Nice moving goal post, but that's not enough.

And one more thing Emulators are not illegal so lets stop trowing around false shit. |
How can you buy Switch game to play on it?
