I just spend $15 on getting my kids and myself an ice cream cone, complaining about a $10 fee for actual enhancements is rather ridiculous imo. But you can indeed just play it on ps4, the choice is there to be taken.

It's not the amount, it's the precedent of thinking, "well, we're doing so good, and the PS5 is selling great... so we're going to put a premium $10 tax on everything PS5!".  Greed is an awful thing, and companies have this tendency to only push prices up when they're the market leader already making the most money.  This is virtually the universal complaint/concern: I haven't really seen anyone say that $10 makes it unaffordable lol

That's... that's EXACTLY it... While we have made increasingly complex games, we have also dramatically altered and improved the tools to do it.  If you spend time looking into Unreal engine, for example, the leaps and bounds they've made to speed up and improve game development and rendering tools is absolutely amazing.  There's a reason you see YouTube channels simply making their own things, now.  What was once a joke is now true: anyone can make a videogame (not speaking to whether it would any good, though lol).  Game development IS easier now, and so are the tools to do it.  Humans work smarter, not harder.  That doesn't mean there aren't hard-working people in game development, but it means there's a clear correlation between the overall industry's increase in ports and remasters because, well, it's "easy" money.  You can also dig into marketing budgets, and you'll be shocked to find that marketing budgets have MASSIVELY increased overall, sometimes quadrupling what used to be spent before.  An example is that the marketing for TW3 was $30 million... If you wanted to know what's gotten more expensive, it's the marketing!

The only company I've seen fold recently was MS when, admittedly, they made a dumb move of trying to double the price of yearly XBL Gold (likely in an effort to shoehorn more people into GP).  Nintendo is nearly impossible mostly because they'll simply rely on legacy, but the fact that their Nintendo Online itself offers no real "online" function (their multiplayer games are still peer-to-peer, and there's still no Switch-based party chat or party invite system) but instead is more of a limited retro library access point says how they seem to be ignoring just how much even their own fanboys want better online functionality.  Naturally, I HOPE they rectify this with the next Switch... not to mention ditching the abysmal Friend Code system lol

That was yet another cringeworthy review by you.

Lose the act. It’s utterly bad, fake, and not funny. And maybe try to find and bet on an ounce of authenticity.

Your definition of authenticity is hearing the words you want to hear.  There is nothing I can do on planet earth that you won't find cringeworthy.  Just say you don't like me and move on rather than create forced critique.

Oh I definitely find the DLC to be priced reasonably.  I'm going to buy the $20 DLC island on the PS4 BC version, though.  It's the fact that in order to get the "true" PS5 version, I have to pay an extra $10 for its enhancements.  That's almost universally THE sticking point right there.  I'm actually excited about the island DLC itself, haha

My definition of authenticity is being genuine, true, not fake… It has nothing to so with what you said.

As for the rest, through your replies in the various topics you created here, you have shown to be someone who will continually self-pat himself and condescendingly act as if you  know better and more than those who take part in the discussions, so I won’t push this much further other than to point out that you display many traits of narcissism.

Funny thing: the vast majority of people who point out narcissism are usually the most narcissistic.  It's as if finding it in others reduces the self-impression.

What have you done ZyroXZ2

You shaken up the hive. You know you cannot post an opinion unless you open your wallet and give everything to their favorite companies and agree with all their business practices.

These people don't see the principle, they only see the low price point and think its a good deal not knowingly understand that it shouldn't exist in the first place.

Its really simple to see, PS5 owners have to pay for features they brought the system for, otherwise they get stuck with the PS4 experience. They clearly don't see the issue here and think its only $10. When this starts to become a standard across the business they will see the flaws in their logic. I should pay MS an extra $1 for implementing the Share button on older games on the new Controller. That's how i see the defenders on this topic.

Keep doing what you are doing Zyro, we need more opinions outside the professional industry.

Agreed, I keep seeing people say, "it's just $10", and "get a job" and other poor shaming (which is ALSO a wrong thing to do, I never make fun of someone who, for example, can only afford one console, or just a Switch Lite or something!).  I sometimes think "money sense" is just as uncommon as "common sense" lmfao... Some people I know have more money than others simply because they spend less, not even because they make more... Hilarious how that works

I mean, I did state car buying has a lot more complexity, but the purpose of reviews and the reasons people seek them out are valid.  Supply and demand also affect used car prices the same way retro games or older games change in price.  Yes, a Honda Civic will hold its value better, but it STILL got cheaper over time.  No one looks at the review for the latest Civic and goes "who cares about the price, it'll be cheaper in a couple years anyway".  I'm just not sure why "gamers" have such a loss of money sense, so I'm solidly going to continue discussing price and content based on the time of the review.  If I paid $30 for an indie game that lasted me only 2 hours, or paid $70 for a PS exclusive that lasted me 15 hours, I'm going to mention these things because you, as a smart shopper, might decide to wait on a sale for the indie game, but feel that the PS exclusive warrants an immediate purchase.  Yes, there are other factors (duh, right?), but surely you as a person who waits for sales is inadvertently proving my point by waiting for games to be cheaper because you want more value per dollar.  Right?

It is true that over the years of doing the gaming stuff, I've debated and previously changed the channel name (It used to be ZyroXZ2 Entertainment Gaming).  However, despite how difficult it is to "market", it IS my username across literally EVERY gaming platform or service.  I have to pull an MS here and just brute force it until it sticks the same way they did Xbox Series X (also a terrible af name).  My channel simply being my username is not in and of itself memorable, but it IS consistent across everything, so it's really REALLY easy to find me on anything.  And trust me when I say people do just that, and I proudly leave my achievements and trophies public so people can freely "verify" my reviews aren't full of shit

I do stay offline, though, as I learned very quickly what being online caused in my first year.  No, no I do not want to play with random people lmao

Well, stating buying a car is a lot more complex doesn't mean much if you just go ahead and continue comparing them anyway. It's not remotely comparable, and as I mentioned, I am not gonna race to the bottom just to convince you otherwise.

As for criticising your name, it wasn't an attempt to put you down or anything. As I mentioned, if your infamous review is anything to go by, it's only a matter of time before you're "discovered". Fyi, I thought Xbox 360 and Xbox one were stupid names, I don't mind Xbox series sounds like a step up to me, series S & X can only mean there will be Y & Z sooner than later, a great way to differentiate how powerful Xboxes are without needlessly throwing around the Pro moniker. Can you not change your xbox/PSN name? just wondering.

Oh I know you weren't, I'm agreeing because you're not only not the first to mention this to me (and I include real life examples in this lol), but I already knew the name was arbitrary because it had to be.  In the old days, it was just "Zyro", but you can imagine that someone beat me to the punch as time went on and I couldn't use it anymore.  Queue not-entirely-but-mostly random add-ons, and THEN queue me also using that for my PSN username which for the longest time could not be changed.  I had a PS3 before an Xbox One, so eventually I just had to keep using it or risk having slightly different usernames here and there.  Eventually it just kept going because there was no point in changing it for Ubisoft Connect, or EA Desktop (called different things before), or Epic Games Launcher, etc. etc.  I'm fully aware it's absolutely garbage to most eyes, a string of nonsense, but the consistency is what I'm currently banking on and changing it now would be... well... kind of rough, no?

And for the record, like in other threads, I'm very open to constructive criticism, it's just that when October hits, I'll have been doing gaming for four years (makes me sad when I realize how small I still am!) and have seen/heard the vast majority of things people tell me about my channel lmao
