Considering how MS/gabe are wanting Gamepass on Steam, and with both Sony/MS releasing their games on Steam already, this would be the most logical and cost effective route.
Sony & MS don't need to pour money into R&D for a new portable device, but they can in turn make money from an existing one on the market with the largest store userbase.
Some PS folks on twitter are already regarding the device as the new Vita (A bit odd considering it's not Sony based, but whatever floats their boat).
Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.
