I don't know, giving high powered weapons to all the hate groups, conspiracy theorists, rage junkies seems like a good path to safety.

Think about it, if everyone has nukes, who's going to use them? Remember those 1950s, the golden age, when US and USSR were aiming nukes at each other. Look at how peaceful the world was, everyone was happy!
