Summer will be mostly Capcom & Konami making big strives among third parties. The biggest third party games of the summer are seemingly going to be from the two publishers. Although it's still early I can see Yu-Gi-Oh with good WoM being the highest potential game of the summer, remains to be seen but so far Konami has been very capable and all their games ended up surpassing 200K on the Switch.
There is still time for a few more titles to be revealed for August & September but at the moment there are seven titles I think will definitely have the potential to surpass 100K sales this year.
Currently I think Shin-kun & Samurai Warriors 5 might leg their way above 100K but that would depend on WoM. Shin-kun is the one with the higher potential due to the hype surrounding it's reveal and it's strong position in Amazon.co.jp for the past month.
Not sure if we are going to see any other third party game that's launching this summer surpass 100K.
400K+
- Yu-Gi-Oh! Rush Duel (Konami)
300K+
- Baseball Spirits (Konami)
200K+
- Monster Hunter Stories 2 (Capcom)
100K+
- Shin-kun (Neos)
- Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot (Bandai Namco)
- Samurai Warriors 5 (Koei Tecmo)
- Ace Attorney Chronicles (Capcom)
We are likely going to see around 7 million software reached by third parties within the Top 20 by the end of September.
