Walmart has got nothing to do with this. VG gets data from a variety of sources, and uses formulas to extrapolate weekly sales. The figures you see are representative of the weekly US sales - enough said.
The accuracy of the sales figures for this week, will be roughly the same as the accuracy of the last 20-30 weeks (i.e. pretty accurate).
