It is a shame two people died over something so petty.
The murderer wasn't in any danger at all. The two burglars were either running away from him, or at least not facing him. He should have just phoned the police and stayed in his home.
The murderer should have served time in prison. Clearing him of any charges just encourages people to take the law into their own hands. Next an innocent person will die because someone decided to act, but didn't know how to aim a gun properly.
