To the whole "it could have sold 14-15 million without being bundled, I'd say that's misleading because:
1) I don't know if it would have 50% attach rate in NA
2) Even if it did without WiiSports bundled in I could see the Wii HW not being as crazy popular as it is now.
Let's face it WiiSports is the system seller. It may be impossible to accurately predict how many casuals/nongamers picked up a Wii after seeing WiiSports in action and trying it out but i'm sure it was in the millions. Now after Wii has become a great brand name WiiFit can reap the rewards and get crazy sales without being bundled.
That said: Mario was bundled so if that's universally recognized as the best selling game there's no reason WiiSports being bundled should count against it.
