People are still buying Days Gone on PS4-5 i bet. Same with Horizon 1 etc. the value of Sonys IP's doesnt just vanish if they have them exclusive to their box but also playable on PC after a year or 2. And once Sony finally fully turns PSNow into their own PC Store expect to be waiting even less then a year for them games as they will want to show how their digital store is more value then the rest.
No it wont make much difference if any at all. A PC user who doesnt own a console from last gen and doesnt plan on owning one this gen isnt going to run out and buy a console for a few exclusives if they never had any interest in one in the first place. For PC users who wanted a console anyways for the sitting room, bedroom whatever etc they are still most likely going to want one as its not only or even the exclusives for them its having an extra system in the house or for the kids. the other ones that want to own a console along with a PC will already pretty much know/have what consoles they want be it a PS5/Switch/XBSX. Maybe some of the 3rd group wont want one any longer but you can bet them users are tiny in the big picture of things when it comes to PC. |
reread my mention of Days Gone I was talking about how it had gone through the price cycle and it was free in April's PS Plus monthly games and is also available for free as part of the PS5 collection that doesn't mean it isn't selling at all but the sales and margins have dropped. so the extra ROI to be made on a PC Port increases.
