For them, shipped is sold, as it's sold to their customers, as in retailers and resellers. If they want to tell how many have been sold through, they always say sold to customers, and not just sold.

In other words, the "sold" numbers Sony gives every quarter is actually shipped, not sold, unless precised otherwise.

Yeah, I got mixed up on that one, with how many times Sony has clarified sell through in recent memory (IE. Miles, TLOU2, GoT).
