This is the only Top 50 where the PS4 still has a lead over the Switch, as Third Party support has taken a long time to arrive on the Switch, but with Monster Hunter Rise & Momotaro launching, titles that have already made the list slowly selling more and more copies over time, while we have a very strong streak of games that should displace everything between 41-50 position in the next five months. Sakuna, Fitness Boxing 2 & Human Fall Flat are on their way to surpass 200K, While Rune Factory 5, Baseball Spirits, Yo-Gi-Oh, Shin-Kun, SMT V, Monster Hunter Stories 2 will join them.

Square hasn't really invested in a major way on the Switch, so they are going to experience a sharp decline in their fortunes as they lose market share to Capcom & Konami in Japan.

Capcom has not come around and should catch up to the PS4 total by the end of the year, as Resident Evil: Village probably won't surpass 200K on the PS4. Rise, Stories 2 and Ace Attorney with a potential Resident Evil game next year is a big pivot for them.

Konami were exiting the gaming business but with their other ventures impacted negatively during COVID, it seems they are investing even more resources in the Switch in 2021, potentially Winning Eleven, Baseball Spirits, Momotaro & Yu-Gi-Oh can propel them beyond 6 million software in the chart.

Bandai have regressed after finding great hits with Fishing Spirits and Taiko their market share is shrinking due to the exclusivity they've decided to impose for a lot of their games. Marvelous or Koei are definitely in a better position than them this year.
