7th gen was my least favorite gen since the NES. Poor output from Japan except for the Wii and the last years of the PS3. There were good games like Valkyria Chronicles, Ni no Kuni, Fallout, and Xenoblade, but 8th gen was better in every way. 7th gen also hollowed out games between AAA and low-budget, and I didn't much care for the annual rehashes coming from EA, Activision, and Ubisoft. 8th generation had a bigger variety for a wider array of tastes and price points.
