To prepare for RE Village, I will play through the entire Resident Evil franchise in chronological order (Current game: RE0)

I deleted RE0. I want to play through the games but not enough to stomach terrible, dated gameplay. I'm really hoping I enjoy REmake more. I know I will enjoy 2, 3, and 4. I'm thinking maybe I will just stick to the mainline games, I have too many games to play and there are a ton of side games in the franchise.
