 yeah i was, i couldn't figure how to make the font larger.  I remember when i used to play with items... My little bro gets so mad, because i make him take them off when we play.

I have no problems with items(They're fun), but using it as a reason as to why you're calling someone "assholes who feared variety or even the slightest injury to their immensley fragile egos" doesn't really work (Frankly, I don't think any of his reasons warrant that kind of name-calling). Talk about grasping for straws. Amirite? ^_^

 

 

I enjoy using the items and prefer them in Smash Bros.  But I've played against people who always--constantly--try to play with them turned off like they're desperate to force Smash Bros to be a "normal" fighting game.  Once or twice is fine and all, but always?  Damn, just shut off the individual items you don't particularly like.  There was a guy on another site that actually got mad at having items on the stage.  Like, he felt cheated if someone used an item to KO him, rather than a regular attack.  It seemed that he was always trying to force Smash Bros to be Virtua Fighter 2.

to me...playing without items is the funnest way.  Maybe it's not that way for you.  But that is why we have options to play with them on or off.  Also, thats why most of us don't play with people with items, because its not fun to us.
