Can that be done without the purchase of any accessories like the Switch? |

Ok, and the ps4/ps5 require accessories as well via HDMI + USB cable + controller. So your point would be??? The ps5 isn't a home console? |
You are beginning to get it.
- a PS4 requires accessories to hook it up to your home theater and play it with controllers
- a PS5 requires accessories to hook it up to your home theater and play it with controllers
- a Switch requires accessories to hook it up to your home theater and play it with controllers
- a PSP Go requires accessories to hook it up to your home theater and play it with controllers
- a tablet requires accessories to hook it up to your home theater and play it with controllers
- a smartphone requires accessories to hook it up to your home theater and play it with controllers
So the requirement of accessories is NO DECIDING FACTOR if a device is a hybrid or not!
They all need accessories to get that job done.

YOUR point was that the Switch is a hybrid since it doesn't require accessories to hook it up to your home theater and play it with controllers.
My point is, that your reasoning is deeply flawed.
If the Switch dock would include an external GPU for more differences than overclocking the SoC, THEN I'd consider the Switch as a hybrid between home console and handheld console.
Laptops with an external GPU-box I also consider as a hybrid between a laptop PC and a desktop PC:

As Pemalite already wrote:
We can already unlock the Switch's clockspeeds and run docked performance in handheld mode... without the docking station.
The dock is literally a convenience device, nothing more. Similar to a PSP Go docking station.
