Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town even without digital is already the 4th best selling game for Marvelous all time in Japan.

With the botched launch it won't reach 400K physical this quarter like I expected, but I'm not writing the game off. There is one patch already out and another scheduled for April. So I can see it start to pick up again if WoM improves in the coming months - as SoS games usually sell a lot of copies overtime. With the Season Pass and more marketing, it's still a potential 1 million seller in Japan. It might just take several years to get there. It was had a good debut in Taiwan but Korean gamers seemed a lot more lukewarm, game still hasn't launched in the West.

Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin is currently the best selling Marvelous game in Japan, it's digital numbers are at the very least 150K by the end of 2020 on the Switch meaning that with the PS4 version it has greatly surpassed Island of Happiness, by mid year the game will surpass 250K physical and 400K physical+digital(if it hasn't already). This was a game that had stock shortages and high placing on the eShop during November and December, so it's a massive success for Marvelous considering the investment.

Lastly Rune Factory 5 is likely to beat Olive Town's debut of 202K physical sales. This definitely seems like their most ambitious project so far, as they are largely a AA Developer, so for them it's key that both Olive Town & Rune Factory 5 find success both in Japan and overseas. I don't think it would be far fetched to expect that they will easily surpass 1.25 million sales in Japan alone this year.
