Not relevant. His post was about current projections of sales, not just randomly predicting Xbox Series will somehow spiral out and not manage to reach even the Xbox One's total. Nothing suggests Xbox Series will underperform compared to last gen at it's current rate.
And just in terms of general optics and consumer perception, it must be in a pretty good position to gain market share if a certain fanbase is reaching this hard to pin any negative points they can against it, even when it's based on complete nonsense.
