I think they lost the stores before 2017, and have been fairly stable. I can't recall the exact years that they closed many stores, but I think it was during PS vita/ Wii U era.

I think the ratio for MHR will give some good indication on the ratios. I say that cause Pokemon Sword and shield ratios (and also let's go) were quite different than previous iterations
