Scores tell me nothing about the game, and these days review score have to do more with Spartacusing than anything resembling a good faith scoring of the game. Even if scores were honest, they still don’t tell me much about the game or the types of users who play them.
What might begin to be a useful system would be a rating system that matches user preference profiles with scores of other users with similar preference profiles preferences to likeminded players would be useful. And when I say profiling, I don’t mean “RPG fan, therefore use the RPG fan profile. I mean something related to the individual games I actually play, and how they match up with the scores of the average of the 1000 players who are closest to how I score games.
