The problem with Shadow's line of thinking is that to him a game has to have a notable short term boost in order to be considered a system seller.
Games that cause a small initial spike followed by steady sales cannot be system sellers to him because you can't see their direct benefit on a graph.
This is why things like Kinect, NSMBU Deluxe or Super Mario Party aren't considered system sellers.
When the herd loses its way, the shepard must kill the bull that leads them astray.
