I loved Secret Rings up to a point. That point came about halfway through the game when the awful controls became painfully apparent and the game became impossible to play. Had they dropped the dreadful mini-game multi-player fiasco and refocused efforts on smoother, more forgivinig controls, it would've been a helluva lot better. There's just no denying the sheer awesomeness of blazing along with Sonic on the backs of those giant flying manta rays with the ruins on their backs--but at the same time, there's no getting past the needlessly clumbsy controls. Walking backwards shouldn't be a hassle! Also, the medals were too damn hard to earn. I will never understand how Sonic team can consistantly deliver hits when it comes to GBA/DS Sonic titles and continually fail so completely at new 3-D titles for consoles. |
The handheld titles are done by Dimps, the ones who're developing the Wii version of Unleashed.
