People used to just be gay. Now theyre gay, members of the LGBTQ community and victims of social injustice. Labels are here to stay it seems.

Well, they were suffering because of being gay (which itself is a label of course), so it makes sense for them to group up so they can gain more strength to fight for their rights. The problem is that them being gay was ever brought up so much when it should have simply been 'Oh, you like the same gender? Cool!'.
