Labels can be quite useful in structuring (i.e. making sense of) things, but some problems would definitely not exist (at least to the extent they do now) if we didn't put labels on everything all the time.

People used to just be gay. Now theyre gay, members of the LGBTQ community and victims of social injustice. Labels are here to stay it seems.
