I would be more excited with more different genres: - DK Wii - Disaser: DoC - Star Fox Wii - The revival of Project H.A.M.M.E.R - Kid Icarus - Pokemon Wii, or MMO - Etc, Nitendo have many IPs and is creative.... Zelda is not a everyone's game. Nintendo needs to cover the many different gamers. I think that would be more clever to anounce in 2009 and release it in 2011. |
I completely agree. Finally another smart Nintendo gamer. Well, sort of!
If Nintendo wants to hasten the death of the Wii and DS, they'll keep churning out endless slightly (if at all) different versions of previously, over-done, established franchises. Zelda needs to be put to rest for a while.
I have to disagree with you on another Pokemon game, though, as that also needs to be put down for a while. As do Metroid and anything with "Mario" in the title. Those "Big 4" franchises (Mario, Metroid, Zelda, Pokemon) need to stop and Nintendo needs to focus on new games and total revamps of long-lost titles like Mach Rider, Punch-Out, Devil World, Kid Icarus, etc. It's a shame that a company that owns so many IP's spends the majority of their time crapping out games from only 4 key franchises.
On top of which, the Zelda series has become pretty stale in the past few years. Constantly revolving around the same plot and characters. Predictable gameplay and easy puzzles and bosses. No thanks. Something new, please.
Also, Nintendo stated last year that they weren't working on any new Zelda title of any kind. I doubt a new Zelda will be an E3 showpiece this year. Frankly, I don't expect it to appear at all, but if it does, it'll only be some teaser trailer and the rest, of course, is predictably easy to figure out. Link fights Gannondorf?? Didn't see that coming....
