Let me think...

One to remove the old light bulb. Another to find the perfect way to align the new bulb with the socket. A third to state that perfection doesn't exist and suggest that there may be more than one right way to place a bulb. A fourth to ask why the bulb cannot be replaced later (or the next day, maybe). A fifth to philosophize about the bulb and its light, questioning the sense of its existence and the reason why it has to be spending most of its life and energy trying to cast physical light on a lifeless room, instead of being inside a brain enlightening minds. A seventh to write all of those thoughts, probably turned into an opinion text or an allegory that no one will understand because of the use of too much personal, non-conventional symbolism. An eighth to like that writing. A ninth to dislike it and doubt about its quality. A tenth to check the writing. An eleventh to double-check it. A twelfth to triple-check it. A thirteenth to realize that the sixth was missing and wonder where he may be. A fourteenth to get angry because the process of replacing the bulb is not going well. A fifteenth to analyze the situation and try to discover why the replacement of the light bulb is not going well and how to get back on track. A sixteenth to put that into practice and actually do something to solve the problem, by calling the seventeenth to replace the bulb. A seventeenth to effectively place the new light bulb in the socket. An eighteenth to put his hand to his eyes, mumbling because the flash of the light has blinded him. A nineteenth to discover that the sixth was in a dark corner feeling bad about his current life and sometimes himself. And, finally, a twentieth to make a pun in order to make this little story end in a light mood. (Ba-dum!)

So (at least) twenty Verters.

I'm mostly a lurker now.
