My friends were not chosen based on the likeliness that they'd buy Mario 3D World. And, I'd much prefer to pay a reasonable price for it than to borrow it from other people anyway. 

A large percentage of things that are sold can borrowed from someone. Yet, things are still sold. Clearly, there's a market.
