I thought PS3 was the console that sold well in Germany...I wasn't aware the DS sold so well there.

Consoles start to sell well in germany once they reach 199€ and have a library that appeals to casual gamers. This is true for most regions, but very crucial for the german market, they don't spend that much money on console gaming, neither they do on handhelds. For that matter the 360 (the premium is available with 2 games for €300) and PS3 won't have a chance ever in this market.

Thats not that true. X-Mas they have a chance. In germany most items above the magic mark of 200-250 € are so much better sold at X-Mas (not only as "presents" also as "Know i have the money to buy this"). This is because Christmas bonus is quite big compared to other countrys (Usualy 1-3 monthly wages).

I don't think the WII will sell out the X-Box and the PS3 2:1 combined in December. And i think the PS3 will sell better than the X-Box at X-Mas.
