The goal in gran turismo isn't to collect every car unless you are a freak. What's the point in owning a Honda fit or shitty ass Lupo? If only to complete cup race and sell the piece of shit. Hell there are even "good" cars that handle and drive like shit in game. I guarantee 99.9 percent of gran turismo don't actually try to own all cars in game because more than half of them are shit.
Basically I'm trying to say your analogy sucks. Might as well compare it to Pokemon gotta catch them all or some crappy f2p/ pay to win game. Hell even Pokemon players probably try not to catch them all because most are shit like gran turismo.
So you are left with comparing your game to a mobile f2p game.
