Momotaro outdid Pokemon these two weeks and just in the Top 10 we are seeing pretty major growth YoY. Despite the huge launch of Sword / Shield because software overall performed much stronger this Quarter will be up YoY, this is despite hardware being pretty much flat compared to last year.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe - 63% Increase YoY
Ring Fit Adventure - 55% Increase YoY
Smash Ultimate - 37% Increase
Super Mario Party - 19% Increase
Minecraft - 2% Decrease YoY
The main thing I'd like to say is that Ring Fit Adventure, Momotaro, New Horizon will lead to momentum and higher sales compared to 2020, up until the New Horizon launch, but that might be mitigated by the launch of Monster Hunter Rise. Overall there is reasons to expect that next week we'd have a progression of 150K -> 120K -> 90K in the coming weeks and a bigger shipment for Bowser's Fury, which will be followed by Olive Town & Bravely Default 2 making 2021 a stronger line-up than 2020 by a considerable margin, especially if Ring Fit maintains a high baseline into January.
Hardware 2020:

Week 3: 96.458
Week 4: 67.987
Week 5: 75.922
