I'm thinking Vita might be a closer point of comparison; it sold more than Wii U, but less than PS4, as PS5 seems likely to do.

I didn't remember Vita sales, so I didn't mention it. But I agree that the Vita may very well be the best comparison to the PS5 in Japan.
