I'm guessing it's one of those series where you can jump in with any entry? But ... even then I'd prefer to start with the original and welp...As Rol says, there's not really much overarching story across the multiple games, they're fairly self-contained, so each can be played in isolation.
And the one you missed was the fourth main entry, Mask of the Lunar Eclipse, which was only officially released in Japan but which got an excellent English homebrew patch with which I played it on my brother's modded Wii.
But yeah, the release patterns are a nightmare, even the Wii remake of 2 wasn't released in America and the Wii U game was digital only there too.
