Don't you think that CDPR will make fools out of themselves and give people one more reason to hate them after they were shouting from rooftops about being consumer friendly and that "people should not pay for the same game twice". Remember, they were the first company to support Microsoft in this initiative.

It might be a free upgrade, stimulating sales of DLC and maybe bring in new players.

Still, that list is a depressing outlook. Milking this not all that great game instead of a reboot and make something better. And while those patches and DLC will keep it in the news, it will forever be linked to the horrible launch. NMS turned into a great game but did it ever recover sales wise. It's doing ok afaik.

It never got anywhere close to release numbers again with the big updates. Evolution studios still got closed down despite turning DriveClub around and never got to finish the VR update. CDPR won't get in trouble since they have GoG to fall back on but Cyberpunk will be a tough sell from now on as well as their next game. Of course there will still be plenty "must have new shiny now" buyers to keep the hype machine going, yet GTA levels are out of reach. 50 million life time, doubt it can even get anywhere near that with fire sales. Maybe if you count game pass downloads when it gets on there.
