Well the joke/point of my post is that both happened, just not in the way I wanted.
All I got from SMTxFE was a mechanically passable JRPG with bad everything else even taking it as its own thing, and not gaining any favors when compared to the great games of either series that the game doesn't do a good job of representing.
And Smash Bros. I got a DLC Mii costume, that they'll make people pay for again in one of Ultimate's updates.
