Would love to see more fair reviews that aren't based solely on performance and bugs. Best game I've played all year personally, in spite of the bugs. Currently a 9/10 game from the 20+ hours I've played so far, and I see the potential of a 9.5/10 game after the upcoming year of free DLC, patches, Xbox Series and PS5 optimizations, and the 2 paid expansions. |
Cant see them ever doing a review again. Me personally, i have always been in favour of reviews being updated at major releases or as the game changes but it would be too confusing for people buying the game and would be open to manipulation by the game publishers. For example - lets say the game got worse or was graded lower at a later date.....the publishers would stick with using old review scores in their marketing.
One game which really bugs me with the scores they gave was Driveclub. No way is the finished final game a meteoritic 71/100 but thats the score people will ever see. I thought it was a stunning game and was easily a 85ish. Same goes for No Man's Sky which coincidentally is also a 71/100 but if you look at it now its a much much better game than that.
