Look, the game is great, I preordered it and am loving it too but people pretending that the game announced in May 2012 shouldn't run at least at a decent level on last gen hardware that was likely target spec for most of development are full of it and need to realise, along with the obvious hiding of last gen gameplay, this is some shady, almost EA tier bullshit.

Why should it matter when it was announced? Last time I checked, neither The Last Guardian or Final Fanatasy (XV) Versus XIII are playable on PS3.

This never looked like a game that would be fully capable of running on base PS4 or Xbox One without severe cutbacks and/or issues. If people saw all the footage and still pre-ordered believing otherwise (especially after the delays), at least some of that responsibility is on them.

If it was so obvious they were hiding the gameplay on base systems, why would those owners not think something was wrong already? The fact CDPR intentionally only posted gameplay for PS4 Pro and Xbox One X up, meant they weren't even trying to pretend otherwise. Should they also put a big sticker on every copy saying, 'buy for base systems at your own risk'?

All the info they needed was there, and all they needed was to hold off a week or two to know for sure.

Well, what if ff15 and last guardian were cross gen and ran 15-20fps at launch with bugs and glitches? Would you defend those games too? 

Cyberpunk 2077 is literally, ONLY, a ps4 and X1 console game at retail for months... How are people "supposed" to know that they are mean to buy it for an enhanced or next generation system... The owners of enhanced or next generation systems are a tiny minority compared to the base consoles.
