Why would they need to get in good with that company when they sell out all of their shipments constantly at all of the other retailers? It's not like it's lost them even one sale, and it put that little Australian company in its place. If I've learned anything from watching the video game business over the last decade and change it's that pretty much no one tells Nintendo what to do. Either you work with them, or you don't and they don't give a crap because they'll find a way to be profitable anyway.
And yeah, it seems like they went to Nintendo to try to work something out. They probably laid down some ultimatum about stock issues thinking that it wouldn't hurt them because Nintendo usually isn't strong in Australia at all.
