I think people need to understand why those games made the list and the ones some of the people are mentioning here didn't.
Take SSBB and Metroid Prime: 3 for example, what big surprises would people be anticipating for them? We've all see the screenshots of them and know what to expect, is anyone really anticipating any big surprises? A surprise playable character in SSBB? Is that enough for it to make a list with games that we've never seen playable before or that have a major thing about them that everyone is wondering about? No I didn't think so.
Bioshock and Mass Effect, I think it's safe to say everyone has seen the screenshots and trailers for them and it's not like there will be any shocking surprises for them either.
The same with Lair, Haze, and Heavenly Sword we've already seen trailers and screenshots and know what to expect. Does anyone expect anything more about them that we already haven't already learned?
I'm sure there are some people that're saying "But wait, Halo 3 made the list and it's the same old same old", true but nobody really knows what it looks like in single player and that's why it made the list. Super Mario Galaxy, well everyone is curious to see what affect it has on play mechanics to move the game's setting into space. Killzone? Nobody knows what it looks like now and everyone is waiting to see how it's turning out. Assassin's Creed, there hasn't been a playable demo and everyone wants to know if the game is a bust or not.
The only games I feel shouldn't have made the list are Uncharted because we already have more than enough information about it so there isn't any more surprises and Call of Duty 4 because even though there is some stuff we're not sure about it's probably not enough to justify putting it on the list. I think Too Human should have been on it because we have no idea if it's going to be good or one of the biggest flops in gaming history.
