They just released the sales numbers of Okami HD, the Wii and PS2 versions were not in HD. According to our Database here, both the Wii and PS2 versions sold ~600k, plus 430k for the DS game. Comparing PS2/3/4 vs Wii/DS/Switch, and you get more or less a parity on sales - and that's despite the Wii and the Switch versions were late ports (2 years late for the Wii, 6 years after the PS3 and one year after the PS4/XBO/PC version). Still, the Switch version sold best despite releasing after the other ones. And the fact that the PS4 version is lagging behind the PS3 and PC versions is telling the audience of the PS4 has slowly shifted away from non-blockbuster or pure otaku Japanese titles. |
PS4 version is obviously affected by the PS3 version: many people have already played Okami HD on PS3.
I love how you had to resort to using SD versions just because Playstation was beating Nintendo handily.

Again, Capcom has already said that MHR is the next mainline title. If there would be a MHW2, then just as a spinoff title. |
This could not be further from the truth LOL

MHW was called MH5 internally and now publicly. It was made by the mainline team with the prior mainline director.
MHW2 is called MH6 internally at Capcom.
MH Rise is made by the Generations team.
Never seen someone get so much wrong and still act like they're right.

Man would I like to get into your head and see what you're thinking. How can you look at the data and get so different a conclusion than literally almost everyone else. |
The data shows my conclusion above everyone else's:
Capcom: MHW >50% sales on PS, Okami HD >= 50% sales on PS, DMCV >50% sales on PS
SE: FF 70-80% sales on PS, KH 70-80% sales on PS, FF7R 100% sales on PS as of now
Playstation had an utterly dominating 66% of Capcom packaged games sales.
Seems like you guys are the one reading the data wrong.
