Totally agree with you there, but not only that, the Series S will be the first "next-gen" home console to hit the $200 sweet spot. At that price point, it will be hard to resist as a secondary console. I think the only thing that might become a problem for the Series S is if Sony decides to keep manufacturing the PS4 Pro and price it at $300 (and $200 for the holidays).

Or just get rid of the Pro (if they haven't already) and PS4 is their $299 option. Throw in some games and it looks like a good deal. Sony would have $299, $399 and $499 options.

At this point though, last gen hardware sales will nosedive just like 2014. The masses willing to spend hundreds of dollars wants next gen.

PS4 was a really popular console, but I'd guess it might sell about 6 million at this point. Also depends if Sony does anything to stimulate sales.
