There's no relationship. Sony use nasty tactics to keep itself competitive, such as not supporting cross-platform between Nintendo and Playstation and buying timed exclusitivity to hurt Microsoft and Nintendo, so I think Sony still sees Nintendo as competition. On the other hand, I don't think current day Nintendo really cares about Sony at all.
