Week 46 Breakdown:

PlayStation 4: Down in all regions

Xbox One: Down in all regions

Nintendo Switch: Up in all regions.

After waiting an extra week, the time has come at last. NEXT GEN IS HERE! The PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series have arrived! And now we get to see them take full effect over the sales and performances of their predecessors. And as we can see, they are having QUITE the effect.

First and foremest, adjustments were made. Xbox One was adjusted just barely up. The PS4 was adjusted notably down. The Nintendo Switch remains unchanged. With that, these are the updated estimates. Furthermore, the Nintendo Switch has now sold over 20 MILLION UNITS for the calendar year with just 6 weeks to go. It managed to do it two weeks before Black Friday.

Through Week 46, the PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch sold through these estimated totals of their 2019 finals:

PlayStation 4: 72.42185523%

Xbox One: 52,21720426%

Nintendo Switch: 60.99058445%

If those percentages held, this would be the estimated 2020 finals.

PlayStation 4: 10,796,262 units

Xbox One: 4,678,665 units

Nintendo Switch: 33,654,177 units

A few months ago Switch had these huge projections based on last year like 33M+, and they seemed like unreal calculations.  Now we are well into November and Switch is still projecting 33M+.  At this point, I'd have to say that if Nintendo can ship enough then they can exceed 30M, especially if they ship these systems to the regions where Switch is in highest demand.  For the rest of the year we're just going to have to sit back and see how much Nintendo can really ship.
