There aren't many challenges which force the use of specific characters; in the beginning you get an easy training mission for everyone, afterwards it isn't until the end of the game that specific characters have to be used. The sensible thing to do is use the additional character slots in the few missions that have them to gain EXP for characters you don't like, because every mission has a completion bonus. This EXP bonus also scales, so characters that are way behind in EXP can get 3+ levels from that bonus alone. Dispatched characters will get most of the weapon drops in any given mission, so you'll also get some much needed weapons this way. By the time you have to play as someone, you should have at least a somewhat decent level and forged weapon despite not actually playing them much at all. |
Thanks, that helps. I'm not a big fan of Impa or Daruk and didn't want to feel obligated to play them just to keep them leveled up.
If possible I don't really wanna do a lot of the side missions as I just wanna get through the main story, but I am playing on Easy so hopefully I don't hit a bottleneck later down the road.
