We like Elite Dangerous quite a lot. We gave it an 86/100 in our 2014 review, and six years later it still holds a spot on our list of Best PC Games as "an open-world (open-galaxy?) space flight sim that masterfully gives players total freedom." And speaking of freedom, it is also now free for the week on the Epic Games Store.

It's a big one, but it's not the only one: Also free this week is The World Next Door, "a mix of lightning-fast puzzle battles, powerful storytelling, and immersive visual novel elements" about a rebellious teen trapped in a parallel world that's inhabited by magical creatures. It's developed by Portland-based studio Rose City Games and published by manga and anime distributor Viz Media.

Devil May Cry 5 PC gets an unofficial Legendary Dark Knight Mode

Modders ‘The HitchHiker’ and ‘Dr Penguin’ have released an unofficial Legendary Dark Knight Mode for Devil May Cry 5. This mode adjusts the number of enemies on screen, allowing players to face lots of demons.
In case you weren’t aware of, Capcom has included such a mode in the Special Edition of Devil May Cry 5 for next-gen consoles. However, and similarly to the game’s Ray Tracing effects, Capcom will not bring it to the PC version. As such, this mod is a must-have for all PC players.

What’s also cool here is that this mod also works when playing in coop with Dante & Nero, or with V solo. However, do note that playing with V and other players in coop currently runs the risk of causing crashes.

Using popular Doom-engine fan game Sonic Robo Blast 2, Snolf RB2 creator Oakreef has altered the spin-off's multi-layered platforming stages to create a high-speed mini-golf course.

Myst-inspired VR adventure game, Ryte: The Eye of Atlantis, releases on December 8th

Orichalcum Pictures has announced that its Myst-inspired VR adventure game, Ryte: The Eye of Atlantis, will release on December 8th. The game will support both SteamVR and Oculus VR devices, and you can find a gameplay trailer for it below.
