If I responded to everything “anti-Xbox” then I’d have way more posts here. Hope that helps. Stick to spamming that report button please LOLDo you view this thread as “anti-Xbox”? I don’t.

Guess you totally distorted what I said, but when don't you? But since there are mods on the team you may ask they straight if I spam reports against you.

@Pemalite

No one report spams. If they did, they will be abusing the system and will likely have action taken against them depending on severity.
Everyone is entitled to smack that report button however if they see an issue, whether we take action really depends on the moderators assessment.

Either-way... Lets get this thread back on topic if we can. :)

People that say its related to software, and tool kits.
Are probably looking for something to blame for why XSX isnt truncing the PS5 in performance.
When in fact both toolkits came in "abit hot" but not lacking, on either side, according to dirt5 dev.

Heres another (3rd party multiplat) game:

https://www.gamespew.com/2020/11/observer-system-redux-is-simply-better-on-ps5-than-xbox-series-x/

"While performance in both versions of the game can be a little shaky at times, what surprised us even more is that even with ray tracing enabled, the PS5 version of Observer: System Redux still performs better than its Xbox Series X counterpart. There are some parts of the apartment block where the Xbox Series X seriously struggles, ruining the immersion a little. It’s perhaps at its worst when you enter the basement.

So, if you’re planning on picking up Observer: System Redux and are lucky enough to have both next-gen consoles available to you, go for the PS5 version. You’ll get a better experience all round. And if you only have Xbox Series X, perhaps wait to see if the game gets patched to at least smooth over the performance hiccups. And who knows, ray tracing might be added at a later date. "

Thats like 4 multiplats that play better on the PS5 so far, to the 1 for XSX.
Yes its abit early, to claim this small sample size is going to be indicative of the entire gen... but so far its looking like the PS5 and XSX arnt that far apart in performance.

PS5 (system redux):

XSX (system redux):

Having games running better on one system doesn't equate to that system having better hardware.

Take the Xbox 360 vs Playstation 3 era.

The Playstation 3 had the technical edge, but the Xbox 360 generally always had better performing and better looking multiplats because that is the platform developers built and optimized games for, first.

So much goes into building a game, there is absolutely no doubt the Xbox Series X is the faster machine, it's been empirically proven at this point.

Thanks.

This thread have an interview from one dev that basically details and summarize as well why sometimes better on paper don't show on the screen and as you said seeing something better on the screen doesn't mean it is stronger.
