Again, if it uses the TP engine, it will require much less development time.

Why would it use the TP engine? Knowing Nintendo, they'd want to make a new Wii Zelda use a better engine than the engine used on their console before.
Personally, I think a new Wii Zelda will use a new engine and look better than SMG!

There is no need to. THe architectures of the gc and wii are so similar any engine created for the previous would work well on the latter, and take its potential. I could see them just tweaking the engine to benefit from the wiis advantages. Smg got it's own engine, because it had to be developed around specific worlds, and random objects in space.
