Weekly update. New records word wide, but Europe is showing signs they may have peaked

Worldwide reached over 4 million new cases, 4.08 million last week (up from 3.76 million) bringing the total to 53.7 million
Reported deaths grew to 60,563 (up from 54,766) to a total of 1,308,566

Europe looks to have reached the peak of the second wave (deaths are still rising), the USA is accelerating.

Europe reported 1.86 million new cases last week (down from 1.91 million) and 28,350 more deaths (up from 24,210)
North America reported 1.11 million new cases last week (up from 828.1K) and 11,837 more deaths (up from 10,826)
Asia reported 668.7K new cases last week (up from 644.7K) and 10,911 more deaths (10,829 last week)
South America reported 348.2K new cases last week (up from 289.8K) and 7,085 more deaths (7,069 last week)
Africa reported 95.0K new cases last week (up from 81.6K) and 2,366 more deaths (up from 1,822)
Oceania reported 1.8K new cases last week (down from 2.8K) and 14 more deaths (4 more than last week)

USA reached over 1 million new cases, 1.01 million last week (up from 742.3K) and 7,745 new deaths (up from 7,071)
India reported 312.4K new cases last week (down from 324.7K) and 3,620 ore deaths (down from 3,924)
Brazil reported 187.0K new cases last week (up from 113.0K) and 2,911 more deaths (up from 2,473)
Iran reported 74.5K new cases last week (up from 58.8K) and 3,173 more deaths (up from 2,931)

Canada reported 31.5K new cases last week (up from 23.8K) and 392 more deaths (up from 326)
South Africa reported 12.8K new cases last week (up from 10.5K) and 404 moredeaths (down from 519)
Japan reported 8.5K new cases last week (up from 5.1K) and 61 deaths (1 less than last week)

South Korea is still in control with very slight growth, Australia reported zero deaths for the 2nd week in a row.

Europe in detail

It looks like most countries are ready to peak, however it's mostly the big drop in France that brought the total for Europe down.
Italy somehow is on top again... Austria and Switzerland are also very high up.
Ireland is still doing the best although they had a slight up tick at the end of the week.

Europe's highest 3-day average reported deaths during the first wave was 4,409, currently Europe is at a 3-day average of 4,622
Deadliest day in the first wave was April 7th with 4,917 deaths reported in a single day, 2nd wave single day highest was Tuesday with 4,863 deaths.
It looks like the second wave is/will be deadlier than the first.
