Does anyone know which resolution it has on PS5, now? I know it's upscaled and not native 4k but not sure what the baseline is. Maybe they could reduce the resolution a bit on Series X to have it still above the PS5 and running the same, then.

I don't think we will really know before DF tell us. But yes, If PS5 is like 10-15% sub 4k reconstructed and Series X is native 4k then having similar reconstruct on Series would help, but I do think both are native 4k (it is near 4k on current gen if I'm not wrong).

Ubisoft producer confirmed yesterday that the Series X is not native 4K but is Dynamic 4K after all. GameReactor also said the same thing.

https://www.videogameschronicle.com/features/interviews/assassins-creed-valhalla/

"I have a Series X behind my desk and the first time I booted the game on it I was super-impressed by the smoothness that 60fps brings to the most action-packed moments or just exploring the world. There will be shorter loading times and a good frame rate that make the game a lot more comfortable to play, as well as stuff like better draw distance, dynamic 4K and so on."

https://www.gamereactor.eu/amp/assassins-creed-valhalla-review/

"On the Xbox Series X, Valhalla runs with a 4K resolution (it seems dynamic, as at times there was some notorious reduction in definition) and at 60 frames per second"

Thanks for the information.

hows that first guy having series x footage?seeing as his previous video titles "My Xbox Series X is BROKEN..."

He sent one to repair, and had another arrive to test things on.
Ei. he has 2 Xbox series X's, and one of them broke.

Luckily, microsoft will fix his broken one, or send him a new one as a replacement (likely within a week or two).
Meanwhile (hense luckily), he still has the other one to play on and test things on.

*edit: he explains this in his "my xbox series X is broken" video.
Luckily he order two of them (from differnt places), to increase his odds of getting one (and ended up getting both orders through).

How the hell are we already getting broken consoles?

Bad luck? it happends. Could also be the people that shipped it, didnt handle it that well, and maybe it was slightly damaged on arrival?

Sure can be, but this is the bad luck among bad luck.

Theres reports of Black screen of Deaths, and Xbox Series X's suddenly going up in "smoke".

Twitter below (gifs of xbox series x's blowing smoke):

Havnt read about any Playstation 5's malfunktioning yet... however there seems to be a software issue, where if you leave it in standby mode, sometimes it'll power completely off.  This means you need to turn it back on afterwards.

*edit:
Some are saying alot of these smoke videos could just be people with vape, blowing into the vent, before clipping (if its a short clip).

Very strange.

I did receive this but I think it is fake https://youtu.be/r7aOz6gEpiw

I hope the system is reliable, because on the first tests it seemed to be very good.

Probably fake. But whats not fake is that MS stealthy put DRM into the console. Seems you cant start the new xboxes without updating them. Aparently xbox live crashed and manny users where unable to activte their xbox. Someone has to test if its just a one time thing or it needs a constant check up. =

So with it being a X1 base game you can't play on Series without update?

No, the console itself canot be used without an update or some kind of online activation. So no games at all will work without internet.

That is bad, sony confirmed all PS4 titles in disc can be played just after install without any need of internet or patch, for digital titles you can download and play without patches as well. The only need for patches is if you want to take the improvements some games have been putting.
